Comment by Terry Beer on July 2, 2008 at 11:14am - I think tips are so personal and varied that it's hard to give advice about them. I enjoy a hard tip like buffalo hide, I feel that with them I get more action on my englished shots, but I hate layered tips which are generally hard. Mine were always de-laminating also. If you liked the feel of the layered tip try a buffalo hide tip. You can find several on the net, but remember to chalk up after every shot. The harder tips just don't retain the chalk.

Tip Selection???
I recently lost a match to a tough opponent, and I was driving myslelf nuts because I miscued 4X in the match, once when I was on my key ball to the 8 ball which led to a quick loss. I thought I was doing something wrong, but afterwards I found that my layered tip de-laminated.
I've played with LePro medium and then bought a cue with a layered hard tip I WAS enjoying. Any hints on a good tip? I play with a light 17oz cue and am more of a finnese player.
